If you’re even remotely curious about sourdough, run—don’t walk—to The Bread Social’s Sourdough Master Class. The teachers are not only masters of their craft, but exceptional teachers who make the entire experience feel like a joyful, hands-on celebration of all things bread.
Their expert knowledge is as deep as a perfectly proofed loaf, and they share it generously with passion, patience, and plenty of good humour. From mixing to shaping to scoring, every step was made incredibly accessible, even for those of us whose baking usually starts with a packet and ends in a toaster.
What really stood out was how fun and engaging the class was. It never felt like a lecture—it felt like being part of a community of bread lovers, guided by two teachers who clearly live and breathe their craft. The energy in the room was as warm as a fresh-from-the-oven sourdough.
I walked away inspired, informed, and with a belly full of bread and laughter. Easily one of the most enjoyable and rewarding experiences I’ve had. Five stars isn’t enough.
